About the Role
To assist the Head of the Internal Audit or designated supervisor in developing and maintaining an efficient and effective programme of audit coverage and ultimately provide the Audit Committee and Local Ex-Co with an independent assessment of the company’s ability to manage and control risks as well as provide advice to business managers on ways to enhance their capacity to manage risks. To assist the Head of Internal Audit in crafting the strategy for the local GIA to continuously align its work with the risks that matter to the organization, and help in the overall management of the team, their professional development and engagement.- Identify key risks at the local level for the assigned entity considering the relevant strategies and business environment
- Develop the Audit Plan considering the key risks identified at the Group Level, inputs from local management and the Audit Committee
- Plan, lead and execute audits, evaluate the adequacy of controls according to established schedule and quality requirements, maintain working papers, prepare and facilitate issuance of audit reports in accordance with the internal standards and procedures.
- Lead relevant meetings with management
- Follow-up outstanding audit issues and monitor timely completion of agreed remedial actions by management.
- Provide updates to Group Office on the status of the audit plan and key events happening in the country through the Continuous Business Review.
- Monitor completion and submission of relevant reporting requirements, both to local management and Group Office
- Provide professional advice and insights to management to enable informed management decisions.
- Proactively contribute to the development of the team through coaching, training and providing timely feedback to junior staff.
- Lead other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by the Head of Internal Audit or designated supervisor in order to meet operational and/or other requirements.
