What you will be doing:

  • Assisting in the daily coordination of various assigned projects.
  • Developing reports and producing materials to support project plans, including updates to project schedules, logging issues, and recording meeting minutes for distribution to project team members.
  • Serving as a communication liaison between clients, project teams, and other FIS functional or department managers to ensure everyone is fully informed of project objectives, purposes, and progress.
  • Tracking project progress and assisting in identifying and resolving obstacles.
  • Ensuring projects remain on schedule and within time and cost constraints. Collaborating with others to identify and categorize project risks and issues related to cost estimates, schedule, quality, and employee retention.
  • Providing timely project deliverables that align with project or program plan structure and updating FIS and client management on potential issues or problems.
  • Performing administrative tasks such as arranging meetings, developing agendas, answering routine questions, preparing correspondence and progress reports, and assisting in event coordination.
  • Anticipating the needs of project, program, and PMO management and taking independent action to meet those needs.
  • Collecting and exchanging information with project management, clients, or FIS organizations.
  • Performing any other related duties as needed.

What you bring:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management standards, processes, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of project deployment and experience in supporting software implementation, infrastructure delivery, and software release management.
  • Knowledgeable in Software Development Lifecycle and industry project management best practices, such as Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
  • Experience in banking and payments is a plus.
  • Proven experience in providing independent judgment and discretion.
  • Proven experience working independently on a variety of special projects under general instructions.
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to utilize project management software, such as MS Project, and auxiliary tools.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive assignments.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive assignments is also important.
