Marketing Assistant - Philippines

Location: Philippines, 100% remote work-from-home position (You must permanently live & have the right to work in the Philippines to apply for this position)

Pay Rate: $4 USD per hour 

Contract: 12-month contract with an extension highly likely - Self-employed contractor. Responsible for own taxes. No benefits. 

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week - The hours can be worked Monday-Sunday flexibly (Must be available to attend production meetings regularly)

The role

Your time will be spent working on Twinkl Philippines’ social media platforms, building meaningful relationships within our communities and engaging with these communities to facilitate a culture of celebration and support. You will also be required to create simple engagement posts, reply to comments and grow our community following. You’ll be able to use your creativity to showcase our current Twinkl resources and products in inspirational ways to our followers.

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for a teacher, or somebody with experience within the education system in the Philippines, who knows the challanges our customers face and can engage in discussion around what teachers need. You should also be a natural marketeer who can spot and execute opportunities each day, with experience managing/posting content on social media platforms and is a strong communicator.

Your weekly activity could include:

  • Maintaining the Twinkl Philippines social media groups
  • Responding and engaging with members of our social media channels through posts, webinars, live and other means of social media activation.
  • Interacting with customers on social media platforms, being the voice of Twinkl and offering advice and support where needed
  • Sharing Twinkl resources and using your expertise to advise our followers
  • Developing and building relationships within our communities 
  • Creating quick engagement posts and quick content
  • Reaching out to members in other groups and directing them back to our communities
  • Outreaching to other groups, influencers and partnerships
  • Developing innovative ideas for marketing campaigns and projects 
  • Developing new ways to engage and grow different social media platforms
  • Building up the social media channels and increasing our following
  • Copywriting for social media feed posts
  • Scheduling content for publishing
  • Gathering insights from our community to share with your team

To succeed in the role, you will:

  • Be able to spot and execute opportunities consistently - each and every day
  • Be a fantastic communicator who thrives when working in a close-knit team.
  • Have excellent spelling and grammar.
  • Be able to create marketing campaign visuals to show how Twinkl can truly help those who teach
  • Be passionate about using social media to create strong and supportive communities. 
  • Be able to work under own initiative with minimum supervision but also as part of a team
  • Be organised and adaptive, able to work to tight deadlines and manage your time effectively.
  • Be able to work collaboratively

In this role, you gain:

  • Experience working with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Pinterest and having the opportunity to create new marketing channels on platforms we haven’t explored yet. 

You’ll work with:

You’ll be part of Twinkl Philippines, a fast-growing and dynamic team that focuses on developing the Philippine market within Twinkl. 

We're interested in anyone who meets one, or a combination of the following: 

  • A teaching degree or similar experience is a plus, but having an understanding of what educators need is the most essential
  • You have an experience in making marketing and social media collaterals and posts (primarily through Canva)
  • You have experience in marketing or running your own social media accounts.
  • You have previous experience running social media channels for a small business. 
  • Willing to be flexible around working times. Being able to work half your working week during weekends and evenings. Hours can be agreed upon between you and your line manager to work office hours.
