Job Description

The Vendor and Partner and Vendor Expert at ST Telemedia Global Data Centres Philippines is a pivotal role responsible for leading the company's strategic partnerships and vendor management initiatives. As part of the Strategy Execution department and reporting to the Business Operations Manager, this role involves strategic alignment of partnerships, optimization of vendor performance, and leadership in collaborative efforts to achieve the company's strategic objectives, especially in enhancing IT infrastructure and telecommunications services.
The tasks / responsibilities that the role performas to address requirements in Key Results Areas:
Vendor Evaluation:
Conducts performance evaluation of vendors in adherance to policies and procedures an din accordance to agreed SLA
Ensures that resluts of evaluation are communicated to the 1] vendors whereby poor performers shall be subject to corrective action or blocked follwing due process; 2] Proponents; and 3] Buyers as one of the vendor selection criteria on future purchases
Issue Management:
Validates concerns / complaints raised by proponents vs vendors
Facilitates and monitors resolution issues to the satisfaction of the company
Business Partner's Meeting:
Conducts an annual Business Partners' Meeting to recognize top vendor performance
Displays the knowledge, skills, and behaviors indicating how tasks / responsibilities will be performed:
Project Management:
The ability to apply project management principles and techniques in the management and implementation of various tasks
Preparation of high level strategy and approach to achieve defined goals
Develop effective collaboration
Effective management and use of resources
Ability to organize activites regularly, monitor performance, manage resolution of issues and present and report to management
Financial Analysis:
Keen attention to details in consolidating budget reports
Entrepreneurial:
Ability to work on alternative processes and partnership agreements that can influence quality and financial gains for the company
Communication:
Above average skills in oral and written communication
Able to digest situatins or cases within a reasonable degree of accuracy
Interpersonal Skills:
Able to interact with internal and external parties of varied rangs and positions
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, or related field) required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role managing partner or vendor relationships, preferably in the data centre, telecommunications, or IT infrastructure sectors.
Proven track record of successful partnership and vendor management, including contract negotiation and strategic alignment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a focus on operational excellence and risk management.
