What are we looking for?
Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably with Australian clients.
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and regulations.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Nice to Have:
- CPA, CA, or equivalent certification.
- Experience working in a remote or offshore capacity.
- Familiarity with Australian taxation and corporate laws
What will you do?
Financial Data Management
- Input and manage financial data, ensuring its accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare financial statements and other reports in compliance with Australian accounting standards.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights on financial performance.
Tax Compliance
- Assist in preparing tax returns in accordance with the Australian Taxation Office requirements.
- Keep updated with Australian tax laws and regulations.
Auditing Support
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Ensure all financial documents are ready and available for review.
Accounts Reconciliation
- Regularly reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts.
- Resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Communication
- Collaborate closely with the Australian team, attending regular virtual meetings and updates.
- Act as a liaison between the Australian team and any local offshore entities.
Continuous Improvement
- Provide recommendations on process improvements, accounting tools, and best practices.
- Stay updated with international accounting standards and technologies.
