We are seeking a strong Senior Systems Engineer to build out technical services in Microsoft Azure and some technical work in on-premise data centers.
(90%) Engineer will build, deploy or fine-tune Microsoft Azure services for internal customers around the globe. The main duties include understanding user requirements, designing technical components and deploying solutions in the Azure cloud space.
(10%) Using VMWare ESXi: Engineer will build new Windows server and Windows 10 systems in some corporate on-premise data centers. Secondly, engineer will help migrate selected Azure-based Windows Server platforms to VMWare ESXi.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a variety of Azure-based solutions using cloud automation frameworks (Terraform, Github)
- Build Windows Servers and Windows 10 systems on VMWare ESXi (on-premise)
- Understand functional requirements, implement solutions and ensure solutions conform to best practice design. Solutions must adhere to company security requirements.
- Ability to prioritize work—balancing IT operations work with strategic engineering work
- Strong communication and team-working skills.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and handle critical/priority incidents when paged
- Must be a self-starter, have a pro-active and cooperative attitude.
