Position: Quality Assurance Tester
Work Hours (Client): Mondays to Fridays, US Timezone, TBD
Pay Range: Upto - $1800/month
Duties and Responsibilities:
Continuous Platform Testing:
● Regularly test core functionalities of the UGC gaming engine to ensure consistent performance.
● Conduct thorough testing of new features and updates before they are deployed.
Bug Reproduction and Reporting:
● Promptly address user-reported bugs by attempting to reproduce them.
● Document detailed steps involved in the reproduction of these bugs.
Issue Tracking and Documentation:
● Create comprehensive tickets in Linear, our project management system, for all identified issues.
● Clearly describe the expected results versus the actual results in the tickets.
● Include detailed steps for reproducing each issue.
Collaboration with Development Team:
● Work closely with the product and development teams to convey findings and follow up on issue resolution.
● Participate in regular meetings and updates to stay aligned with the team & goals and timelines.
Feedback and Improvement Suggestions:
● Provide constructive feedback on platform usability and user experience.
● Suggest potential improvements or features based on testing insights and user feedback.
User Experience Advocacy:
● Ensure that user-generated content (UGC) on the platform maintains a high standard of quality and functionality.
● Advocate for end-user needs and perspectives during issue resolution and feature development.
Compliance and Standards Adherence:
● Ensure that all tests and procedures comply with company standards and best practices.
● Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in QA testing and UGC platforms.
Reporting and Communication:
● Regularly report on testing progress, issues, and resolutions.
● Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, including development teams and management.
● 2+ years of Proven experience in QA testing, preferably in gaming or related fields.
● Strong understanding of software development and testing methodologies.
● Familiarity with project management and bug tracking tools, specifically Linear and Discord
● Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
● Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
● Strong communication and teamwork skills.
● Passion for gaming and understanding of user-generated content platforms.
